Ceramides are essential lipids (natural fatty acids) that are present in the skin's top protective layer - also known as the skin barrier.

Their main function is to help prevent moisture from getting out and external stressors from getting into the skin. Within the skin barrier, alongside ceramides, other lipids such as cholesterol and phytosterols (pronounced 'fee-ta-STE-rols) also reside. When ceramides are used in skincare, they must be combined in an optimised ratio with both cholesterol and fatty acids. This is so they can help to effectively replenish the lipids that occur naturally within the skin.

Our extensive research into ceramide combinations has resulted in our optimized blend of ceramides 1 and 3, phytosterol (vegan cholesterol) and fatty acids in a 3:1:1:1 ratio. This has been scientifically proven to accelerate barrier recovery.*

Calming night cream

I got the travel size to see if I like this product to test it out. I love it and I’m going to buy the normal size. It’s got a lavender scent which is really calming just before bed and goes on smoothly over my crystal retinal 6.

This is a lovely night cream, it’s not greasy and I find I can see a small difference the next morning, my skin looks quite clear. You only need a very small
Amount too.

Only been using for a couple of weeks, but so far it’s good.

A really light, soft cream

Q: Hello, my main concern is the crepey skin mainly on my throat area . What are the best products to address this? I don’t have sensitive skin and use a night cream with retinol in with no adverse effects.

Q: Can I use the medik 8 advanced night cream with melan trans 3 x depigmentation serum? I am using the advanced night with retinol 3 serum as advised but also have a bottle of melan trans 3x that I would like to continue using-I use medik 8 vitamin C serum with the medik 8 50spf during the day.
